Habiter le monde

Opening: Sunday June 5 from 2 pm to 4 pm

From June 2 to July 10, Arts Sutton presents “Habiter le monde,” an original and provocative exhibition bringing together the works of ten artists, all from the Master’s Program in visual and media arts at UQAM. Provoked by their concerns surrounding the fragility of our world, they pose the question: How to embody dissidence and explore other ways of inhabiting a world of contradictions with which our society undermines our relationship with nature?

A journey of independent works that subtly dialogue with each other, through the spaces created between each of the installations. Sculpture, the printed image, photography, poetry and video – each proposes an alternative to the ecological impasse in which we find ourselves.

During their presence at the gallery, the artists will be happy to share the results of their informal discussions and their creative process with visitors.
