Hélène La Haye  exhibition Est-ce moi?  is inspired by Caravaggio (1571-1610) revealing the tension between authenticity and the distortion in life. Today transparency is appropriate on one side and hypocrisy reigns on the other, the denial facing ourselves and from current events: the corruption, the police repression and the inequalities between man and woman.

La Haye’s acrylic paintings on display are gestural, created in rhythmic body movements which highlights the magnetic fields generated by human relations.

Bachelor in visual arts and jazz, she has exposed in Europe and Montreal where she founded her own art school. She has exhibited numerous public paintings such as in the entry hall of the Belgo building which regroups the majority of contemporary art gallerys in Montreal.

The Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
