For this second thematic members’ exhibition at Arts Sutton, we invite our artists to reflect on the word and theme Regards/Gazes.

By definition, artists bring a perspective that they express through their work.

A gaze on the world, on the human condition, on oneself, on nature, politics, and more. Whether objective or interpretive, focused on the present, the past, or even the future, this gaze is often the starting point of an artistic or political practice, a form of social engagement, or the development of theories and diverse approaches.

In the context of an exhibition, this offers our member artists an opportunity to reflect on their practice, to take a fresh look at their work, and to question the sources of their inspiration and the direction of their artistic journey.

Bringing together a wide range of intersecting and personal perspectives, this exhibition highlights the rich and diverse artistic practices of our member artists.

Dear members, we invite you to take time to reflect on this theme, to create a work inspired by it, or to revisit your archives for works that meaningfully express your perspective. Simply register by clicking on Calls for Submissions.
