Opening
Sunday, April 2 from 2 pm to 4 pm
Carole Arbic, Renée Gélinas and Patrycja Walton were inspired to produce their works from women crafting traditions, and by the materials and techniques used in these works. The framework in which they create their work of art has certainly influenced their approach, the Grover building, the former textile manufacture, which today brings together hundreds of cultural workers.
Arbic, Gélinas and Walton share similar approaches about recycling that consists of assembling pieces, from textiles, and waste or fragments of everyday items. These artworks, figurative or abstract, coexist and inspire each other in the form of paintings, sculptures, collages and assemblages.
The Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
