For Francine Potvin, “Each day is an extraordinary opportunity to learn how to see.” (Estelle Zhong Mengual)
She shares how, through an intuitive process, she observes, contemplates, questions, gathers, scavenges, and uncovers striking analogies and correspondences.
She discusses her exploration of paper clay, organic material collage for collagraphy, and cyanotype as ways to create evocative two- and three-dimensional imagery.
The artist invites us to a reversal of attention (Estelle Zhong Mengual), where the multitude of living beings become portals to the invisible — a world imbued with mystery and sacred life.
