Collagraphy and cyanotypes

Opening

Sunday, September 18 from 2 pm to 4 pm

Exhibition from September 16 to October 16, 2016

The gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This exhibition is a tribute to plants: unique, mysterious, beautiful, useful, independent, quiet, and completely peaceful life forms (Francis Hallé).

Native flora and weeds found far or near are inspiring, and exhilarates me by the green ecstacy (Gisele Lamoureux) that sometimes turns into a Prussian blue.

Florilegium offers a variety of collagraphy and cyanotype pieces. Both processes exploit the plants themselves to create images called Nature Printing, an old tradition that uses the surface of the object to make prints.

I say that if someone meditates to the world, it is the plant. (Paul Valery). And I meditate along with it.

Francine Potvin would like to thank the Concordia Part-time Faculty Association (CUPFA).
