Madeleine Lemire

Madeleine Lemire lives and works in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Each year, she divides her time between her studio at the Richmond Art Center and a country where she finds warmth and light, whether in Provence, Guatemala or Mexico.

In Paris, she studied at the Louvre School; in Montreal, she trained at the School of Fine Arts and at the Saidye-Bronfman Arts Center.
She has several solo exhibitions in the country and participates in numerous group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Europe. His works are found in several collections.
In 1996, Madeleine Lemire was elected a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.
