Et si l’été arrive

2025, acrylic, pencils and oil pastel on canvas, 28 x 36 cm

I’ve been a visual artist for over 20 years, and my current practice explores the beauty of imperfection and the unexpected moments that come from letting go of control. My process is intuitive — colour, texture, and marks lead the way, and the subject emerges by highlighting form.

My paintings have a naïve spirit, with simple symbols often inspired by nature. They’re bold, messy, overflowing with vibrant colours and irregular lines — a raw burst of energy.

I started out in 2003 working in naïve art and spent about 15 years as an illustrator (greeting cards, books). Over time, commercial work stifled my creativity. Now, abstract painting gives me the freedom to create with a sense of joyful release, without limitations.

2024, oil sticks on Mylar, 46 x 63 cm

The approachesto my workareinformed by architecture and architectural drawing – geometric forms, contrast of light and shadow and linework.

My favorite medium is oil stick on mylar which affords a combination of painting and drawing. I wish to express the quality and sensations evoked by interior spaces, building facades and landscape.
