For the 7th consecutive year, Arts Sutton invites all artists, from all artistic disciplines, who are members in good standing of its art center, to submit a proposal for the Exhibition-Competition, which will be held
December 18, 2025
An independent jury will review the submissions and select the artists who stand out in their opinion. All participants will receive a response, whether positive or negative, by email.
A People’s Choice Award will be presented to the artist who receives the most votes during the exhibition. The winner will be awarded a solo exhibition in the Claire-Léger space at Arts Sutton in 2026.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions must include: an up-to-date curriculum vitae, a brief summary of the artistic approach, a clearly identified and numbered photo of each submitted artwork (All files combined must not exceed 20 MB).
General Rules
To participate:
- Artists must be 18 years or older and a member in good standing of Arts Sutton Art Center (or become a member at the time of registration). The annual membership fee for artist members is $50.
- Artists may submit one to six original, exclusive, and recent works (created in 2024 or 2025), identified as follows:
- Artist's name
- Title of the work
- Year of creation
- Technique and mediums used
- Dimensions (in centimeters)
- Price
- Works in two dimensions should not exceed 122 cm in height x 81.28 cm in width, including the frame.
- All works must be completely dry or fixed and ready to hang: eyelets and wire hanging system only. (No other hanging systems will be accepted.)
- Accepted techniques and mediums: collage, drawing, printmaking, oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, ink, mixed media, and photography
- Sculptures must not exceed 182 cm (height) x 76 cm (width) x 76 cm (depth). They must be self-supporting and easily transportable by one person.
- 2D and 3D works requiring special installation will not be accepted.
- Arts Sutton will retain a commission equivalent to 35% of the sale price of any work sold.
Delivery of Selected Works
Selected works must be delivered to the art center on Tuesday, November 25, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Pickup of Works
Artists must retrieve their works on Sunday, December 18, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., or on Monday, December 19, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Exhibition Dates
Thursday, November 27 to Thursday, December 18, 2025
Opening Reception
Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 2 p.m.
Closing and People’s Choice Award Ceremony
Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 4 p.m.
