Its annual programming includes exhibitions as well as educational activities such as workshops, lectures, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arts Sutton is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the summer period. Under the supervision of the coordinator, the selected candidate will perform various support tasks related to the gallery\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Carry out various tasks related to the production of Arts Sutton events: assist with the installation and dismantling of exhibitions, support the coordinator during events such as the Tour des Arts, openings (vernissages), workshops, lectures, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welcome and inform visitors, and answer phone calls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process payments for memberships, workshops, or artwork sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When needed, assist the coordinator with administrative and operational tasks, such as: writing, data entry, layout of printed materials and newsletters, and social media postings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required skills and qualities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fluency in French and English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with office tools (Word, Excel, Canva, Mailchimp, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Versatility and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in the cultural sector and interest in visual arts is an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These responsibilities may vary depending on the size and priorities of the art center, but they are generally intended to effectively support the artistic and administrative activities of Arts Sutton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Working conditions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start date: early June 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duration: 9 weeks, with possibility of extension at reduced hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>31 hours per week<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible schedule, including weekends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salary: $19\/hour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The candidate must be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program.<\/strong><br>Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years old, hold a high school diploma, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and have been enrolled as a full-time student during the 2024\u20132025 school year and intend to return to full-time studies in fall 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong>:<br>Please send your r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and cover letter to Annie Chartrand by email at: <a href=\"mailto:info@artssutton.com\">info@artssutton.com<\/a>.<br>Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/artssutton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Job_Posting_Canada_Summer_Jobs_2026_Administrative_Assistant_2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read the offer PDF<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canada Summer Jobs Program Located in Sutton in the Eastern Townships, the Arts Sutton art center is a cultural venue dedicated to promoting contemporary visual arts.
